On the coast, cormorants gather on the granite rocks of the Chausey Islands, off Granville, as a ferry passes, and on a guano-streaked cliff near Ribadeo, in Galicia. Pigeons land on a mossy rock among the pebbles; three other photos make up a short sequence with story-like titles, from “Il marche seul” (He walks alone) to “Il revient seul” (He comes back alone).
